Managing Principal

Ms. Jung has a broad and extensive experience when it comes to complex civil litigation and corporate transactions. Before establishing this firm with a network of lawyers, Ms. Jung was the head of the legal department for the construction arm of the Samsung Group for the Americas (“Samsung”). She led the Samsung team in connection with closing the largest civil project deal in Canada's history, with the contract value of USD $6.4 billion.  At Samsung, she also oversaw all litigation, employment, and risk management matters arising out of the United States and the rest of the Americas. 

In addition to having been on the client's side as in-house counsel (first at a startup and later at a major conglomerate such as Samsung), Ms. Jung has been in private practice for many years as a partner at a regional firm and later at a national firm servicing the following industries as a litigator and outside general counsel: construction, finance, real estate, hospitality, transportation, biotech, food, and insurance. She has tried cases as lead trial counsel before jury, and has led bench trials and arbitration matters. Her experience also includes transactional work and franchise filings. With a broad background in commercial law, employment law, and litigation. Ms. Jung can effectively advise her clients regarding complex legal matters, whether they involve litigation or transactional issues. She works closely with each of her clients to thoroughly understand factual issues, and then prepares legal advice and counsel after considering not only legal but also commercial concerns for the clients.

Ms. Jung is an active member of both the legal community and the local community. She is a past President of the Berkeley Korean-American Alumni Association (“BKAA”). Under her leadership, this group became the first and only Korean-ethnic based alumni group chartered by the Cal Alumni Association. She now serves as a director of BKAA. In addition, Ms. Jung has served as a Governor of the Korean-American Bar Association since 2010.  She also sits on the board of the Asian Business League. Further, she has been active in the following groups: International Association of Korean Lawyers, Association of Corporate Counsel, Trucking Industry Defense Association, and California Minority Counsel Program.

Ms. Jung has been published by the American Bar Association twice, and also has other articles that have been published in respectable legal journals. Ms. Jung has been recognized in the Southern California Super Lawyers magazine for multiple years. Ms. Jung is fluent in Korean.

She received her B.A. from U.C. Berkeley, and J.D. from the UCLA School of Law.
